Uttoxeter Winners

It has been a pretty quiet summer on the runners front but it was great to get two winners on the board in the last couple of weeks, both coming at Uttoxeter.

Celestial Park got the ball rolling with a perfectly timed ride by Jack Quinlan to win Div I of the 2 mile 4f handicap hurdle for owners the Foran’s and Harrison’s. This was her first run back from her summer break and a first run following a wind op. She had been showing up well on the gallops at home but wasn’t quite seeing out her races so it was great to see that the wind op has worked well. She has been declared to run again at Worcester on Monday 18th September - she will run as long as the ground conditions remain on the good side.

Norvics Reflection defied his 877 days off the track by winning the 2 mile 4 f maiden hurdle. He was given a great ride by Harry Bannister to lead from start to finish. So pleased for the team at home, especially Simon, who rides Norvic out everyday and has put in a great deal of work to get him back on track successfully. He is a big, strong horse who will also go chasing in the future but will now have a few weeks before running again.

Nickelforce also put in a good performance at Worcester under Harry Bannister on his first run in handicap company following his summer break to finish 4th.

We are pleased to be taking part in National Racehorse Week again this year with the yard being open to the public on Sunday 17th September between 10am - 12 noon. We look forward to welcoming all those who have registered to visit.
