Happy New Year - Hereford Double

The New Year could not have got off to a better start with a double at Hereford with our first two runners of 2022.

Gazette Bourgeoise kicked off with a win in the handicap hurdle under a great ride from Harry Bannister. She was stepping up in trip and running against the boys and she stayed on well to win . She has been a model of consistancy having won or been placed on all her runs to date. Delighted for her loyal owners, Alex and Michelle Harvey.

Felton Bellevue

Felton Bellevue made it a double on the day under another lovely ride from Harry Bannister. He had been 2nd on his last two outings over fences so it was great to get his head in front.

Hereford had done a great job of securing very good prize money and they were rightly rewarded with plenty of runners and competitive racing.

Fern Hill was our last runner of 2021 and he too put up a fantastic run at Newbury on only his second start over fences to finish 2nd under Stan Sheppard. We were delighted with his performance and he is a lovely prospect for his owners.

Coded Message put up another great run in the mares’ handicap hurdle at Kempton under Charlie Case finishing 3rd for the second year in a row, having won the race in 2019.

Kilbrew Boy finished 4th for the Case Racing Partnership at Huntingdon on Boxing Day, where the ground had probably gone against him. He has an entry at Doncaster next week.

Trouville Lady made her racecourse debut in the Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race at Ludlow where she ran a promising race and will have learnt a great deal for the outing. She is a lovely big filly for the future.

Conceroe won well at Fakenham on his second start over hurdles under Jack Quinlan. He also has an entry at Doncaster next Tuesday.
