Wetherby Winner Midnightreflection

Midnightreflection defied top weight to win the 2 mile 5 mares’ handicap hurdle at Wetherby under another great ride from Bryan Carver who gets on so well with the mare. This is her third win over hurdles for her owner Anita Lush and the Case Racing Partnership and she continues to give them all lots of fun - there are spaces available in the partnership if anyone is interested!

Conceroe ran another great race in the competitive bumper at Doncaster to finish 2nd. Having won at Warwick and finished 5th in the Listed race at Cheltenham in November this was another fine run and he looks to be a lovely prospect for the future for his owner Lady Jane Grosvenor having been purchased as a foal.

I was delighted with the run of Dorado Dollar at Chepstow where he finished 5th, his owner has been extremely patient with him, he’s not the quickest but he jumped and travelled really well for Lorcan Murtagh who gave him a lovely ride.

Gazette Bourgeoise also ran a great race under Kielan Woods at Market Rasen to finish 3rd in a very competitive mares’ handicap hurdle only beaten 3 lengths, if she had jumped the last hurdle more fluently I think we may have been even closer.

Coded Message finished 5th at Hereford under Will Marshall who gave her a lovely ride she just was unable to cope with top weight in heavy ground and needs a little help from the handicapper!

Dash of Blue and Kings Temptation both ran with credit in the ‘jumpers bumpers’ at Lingfield. Dash of Blue finished 4th and then was very unlucky to get caught up in a fall, thankfully he and Bryan Carver were none the worse. Kings Temptation finished 5th which was a nice surprise as he was running over 2 miles when his preference is for 3 miles +. This was really just to get a run into him on good ground as he doesn’t enjoy the mud. All being well he will head to Cheltenham for the cross country race or the Kim Muir.
