Happy New Year

A great way to end the year with a Winner and a 2nd. Bashers Reflection won well at Warwick races for his Owner / Breeder, Mrs Bailey. He was given a lovely ride by Jack Quinlan on handicap debut. We were not sure if he would handle the soft ground but it clearly didn’t inconvenience him.

Shanty Alley put in another fine performance to finish 2nd in the Mandarin Chase at Newbury, his jumping was electric and he was given another great ride by Conor O’Farrell.

Dash of Blue ran well in ground that was not quite to his liking at Uttoxeter and Jack Doyen was running with promise on his chase debut before slipping on landing and sensibly being pulling up by Stan Sheppard.

On New Years Day we moved on to Fakenham with 3 runners. Felton Bellevue finished 4th in the long distance Amateur Riders Handicap Chase under Charlie Case and Boleyn Boy put in a great run to finish 2nd under Jack Quinlan for David Walsh and Andrew Barry, David is a great supporter of ours and our yard sponsor (David Andrews Construction). Boleyn Boy was having his third run over hurdles and the winner looks to be quite a smart horse of Paul Nicholls’. Miss Connaisseur was having her first start over hurdles having run on the flat and didn’t enjoy the soft ground and was pulled up by Joe Stevenson.
